Standard PRSA Extra Costs

A lot of the Reddit congregation focused on the then AMC (0.75%) for the product and totally ignored the cost of the 'popular' fund (0.23%) plus transaction costs and convinced themselves that the 'price' was 0.75% when it was actually closer to 1%.

There was also the illusion that if you were choosing this fund that everyone was recommending that you were now a proper investor and had a self-directed pension. Something that might clearly go down well with your mates from a high stool.

There should be a separate forum on AAM for the psychology of money.
