Stamp duty when transferring house within family.

What is the stamp duty payable when transferring the ownership of a house from father to children? How much would a solicitor charge in fees etc?

Stamp Duty is 1% of value up to €1m - excess @ 2%. There used to be a relief for residential transfers inter family - no more.

Solicitor's fees would vary - both sides need to be separately represented. A very good starting point is your own solicitor - if you have one. Or a good recommendation.
