For agricultural land that is being transferred from mother to son worth €150k does the full 6% rate of stamp duty apply or are there any exemptions to avail of?

There are potentially a few reliefs, depending on your circumstances.

Are you under 35 and a farmer? If so you might not pay stamp duty.

Otherwise Consanguinity relief will apply if you meet the conditions, either farm it or lease it to a farmer, and pay 1%
