Are there any other bodies, agencies or even an ombudsman I can contact regarding stamp duty, I have tried dealing with the revenue and they are pretty short with information if you don't have the right questions.

My issue is I bought an appartment in 2007 my first proprety as an investment and paid stamp duty, As I moved in myself without renting and I also have been claming TRS. Is there any possablity of getting the stamp duty back.
The revenue said if it was stamped on day of purchase as an inventsment that you cant obtain any refund. Any direction would be greatful
