Stamp duty liability when purchasing an inherited property

I am the executor and beneficiary together with my 2 siblings in my late mothers house which is shared equally ie 3 shares.

Grant of probate has completed and I am now purchasing my siblings shares - 2/3s. My solicitor says I must pay the full stamp duty including on my own share as he says I do not own my share even though I am a probate granted beneficiary and as an executor I am liable for the full amount.

Can anyone clarify this please as revenue have said I do not have to pay stamp on my share of the property.
 
I would think you don't need too pay you share of 1/3 of the stamp duty.
I'd be very interested in following this as i will be in a similar situation soon enough
