I bought a house approx 18 months ago for €255,000 and I did not pay the stamp as I was due to move into this house myself. I however decided to rent out the house after leaving it vacant until now. I’ve it rented out since the first of march 09.
My question is if I’m liable for the entire stamp amount or only a percentage since I only rented it out 2 weeks ago and it has not been rented out for any period of my ownership until now?
i.e am I entitled to take a percentage proportional to the amount of time it was vacant off what I owe as a stamp.
