Spouse UK Pension entitlement

Hi I am 72 yoa and currently draw a UK State Pension plus an Irish State Pension. My wife will be 65 this year and will be entitled to a full Irish State Pension. Am I also entitled to claim for her as my spouse from the UK authorities?

The Irish State Pension qualifying age is currently 66, not 65.

As far as I know the UK state pension changes that came into effect in 2016 eliminated spouse dependent entitlement except in special circumstances. Has your wife ever paid national insurance in her own right in the UK,?. You can call Newcastle to enquire on this number
