Sound Proofing Your Home

Hi,

Just wondering can anyone please give me a rough idea of how much this would cost? We live in a 3 bed semi and our walls seem to be like paper, we can hear everything from next door.

Is your house new?
There must surely be solid concrete blocks between you and the neighbours? Also are your downstairs floors concrete or suspended timber?

There has been alot of discussion about sound proofing solutions already on this site. Just search for "soundproofing"


Solution: rip off the incorrectly fixed plasterboard from the blocks and apply foam backed plaster board (2 inches thick). Its called calibel i think
