In order of importance to me:-
1. The day I quit the job I hated for many years and started a new job a day later that I loved - Paid Less, but no comparison on getting out of bed every morning after.
2. The day I cleared my last mortgage and a few other loans and owing nothing to anybody. And guess what - The "efficient" bank couldn't find the house deeds for a couple of years and couldn't hack it when I was on THEIR case.
3. My first day of retirement.
I have others, but they will have to wait . . . .

Aside from the usual wedding, kids being born etc and in no real order
  1. 1984 Munster Hurling final in Thurles, 4 point down, 4 minutes to go and Cork score 2-2 without replay, Tipp fans in tears coming out as the All Ireland was going to be in Thurles that year. Loved it. ! Up the rebels!
  2. Munster, in Cardiff, finally getting across the line. I roared at Peter Stringer from a seat on the other side of the pitch that there was no one on the blind side and he must have heard me because he scampered over. :)
  3. Ringing my parents from London to say I'd got a job in Ireland and was heading home, My sister ringing me back 5 minutes later in case I was taking the mick
  4. Burning Peig Sayers and the English translation after the Leaving
  5. Bruce Springsteen in concert with the Segar sessions in the Point. Hate the album, worst thing he ever did in my view but also the best gig I ever saw him do and my favourite gig of all time. weird

The day I finished school.
The day I started work , which I stayed at for 40 years.
The day I met my , now , wife of 43 years.
The days our two sons were born.
The Anniversaries celebrated since.
The day we finished paying our mortgage.
The day I finished work, never looked back .
More to follow shortly... very shortly..
