Some questions and Recommendations needed re soundproofing

I know there are many posts on the forum re soundproofing but im seriously considering having this done in a 3 bed semi d - about 1100 sq feet. I am wondering

Is there actually anyone on forum who has gone ahead and installed soundproofing
If so,
How much did it cost
How much do you lose on the size of each room - im told 4 inches - Is that accurate or is it more
What product was used - I see rockwool (?) mentioned a lot
What is the acostic rating of rockwool - is it good
Who did the work for you
How long did it take
Has it been money well spent in terms of reducing noise
What sort of noises can you still hear even after sound proofing

Feel free to PM me as some of the questions here re cost and companies doing work may not be allowed to be discussed on the forum am not sure

"Soundproofing" isn't a material, its a strategy.

You ask too many questions for a guy who provides no clue as to what problem he's having.

There is no point soundproofing a party wall if the adjoining owner has a 1.0M wide window that's fully open and blaring noise.

It all depends on how the sound is being transmitted. Provide some details of the problem and you may be able to get help. There are many ways of soundproofing, many of them are useless if the source and type of sound is not addressed properly.

Basically its noise coming from the neighbours in adjoining house

Everything from
hearing their phone ringing
Scraping of chairs along tiled kitchen floor
Banging door when closing both kitchen presses and room doors
Them running up and downstairs
Opening and closing wardrobe doors
Walking on wooden floors upstairs
Their alarm clocks going off
Their radio
Their TV
Their conversations/arguments
When upstairs can hear them downstairs Opening and closing patio door
etc

Stuff like that

Hi there Scotty1 and everyone else suffering the same problem,

I've spent five years now listening to all of the above and I too am wondering how much would it cost to soundproof a party wall and are the benifits worth it. Is it a really big job and would I loose much space soundproofing the wall ect.
