Solid Wooden Floor - Ronseal

I am having an unfinished solid wooden floor put in tomorrow, I need to varnish it myself, I remember getting this floor put down in another room and the chap using a roller instead of a brush. Question is, which type of roller is best for the job?. Its a large area so a roller would speed things up considerably
