Solid fuel to Gas - How much

Does anyone know how much it would cost to convert a 4 bed house from solid fuel central heating to gas?
All rooms are fitted with radiators and the gas line is running on the street.
Do you know how much Bord Gais charge to get connected to main gas line?

Bord Gais charge €250 to connect your house to the main Gas pipes on the street. Sorry I don't know about the conversion.
 
I know somebody who changed oevr from oil to natural gas recently. Gas was already as far as their front path. All in approx €6500.

you will find a list of boiler manufacturers and their homepages.For an ordinary house build to Irish standards you would look at a size of 8-12 kw,if well insulated than even less.A good combi condensing boiler(incl.pump and expansion barrel) would cost around €2000 to buy and roughly €250 to install .Gas connection extra,as well as thermostats on the radiators if not existent already.So a rough figure would be €2500 incl. the €250 (%%WORD57%) for the connection.There might be grants available for council housing and homes of handicapped persons.
