Hi, i was a sole trader for a period of about 5 months, but ceased trading, as i have recieved a full time job with a company.
i gave my p45 to revenue when i started and now my employer is looking for one, i have had no other job this year, fo i need a p45 or will my employer take my: TAX CREDIT AND UNIVERSAL SOCIAL CHARGE CERTIFICATE ??

please advise, thanks

How did you have a p45 when you were a sole trader? They are given to employees

When did you cease trading?

i was employed, went to register for sole trader to start my own business, revenue took my p45 from my job then,.........was a sole trader for about 6 months or less,..... gave it up cause i got a job as an employee again, new job wants a p45?
thanks

if p45 is from 2011 it is of no use to your new employer ---it needs to be current year

just give them your TAX CREDIT AND UNIVERSAL SOCIAL CHARGE CERTIFICATE

if you had self assessed income this year you might want to talk to revenue to adjust your credits to cover potential tax on it
