Commencing a new build and considering heating options.

Has anyone here any experience of either Solar PV?

Also taking a look at air to water heatpumps. I've been able to find some threads on air to water here but cant seem to find anything on solar PV.

In my opinion solar PV is not cost effective at the moment in IRL due to the REFIT. Don't waste you cash on it unless you really want to have it for some other reason.

Air to water heat pumps have poor performace as the temp step up is too high. They are also very expensive. Look at air-air heat pumps if you are builing a quality build.
