Social Event for 20 Adults

Hi, I am trying to organise a social event for approx 20 adults. Not a hen or stag!!


So far all I can come up with is drinking or a night at the dog races.

Anyone have any ideas or been on a night as such that is worth doing again!

Have organised a treasure hunt built into a pub crawl on a few occasions around city centre (walking of course!) tends to go down well - provided the instructions for directions are very clear.

My Opinion?

Go Karts and paintballing are great fun but in my experience are enjoyed by the males a lot more than the females. - the treasure hunt is an excellent idea; comedy club is another good one. Another one is a trip to the theatre; preferably something light - I went on an organised night out to "stones in his pockets" and it was great fun for everyone!

Bowling is a bit basic but quite good fun I think

From what I remember it was a great night. We went to a place at the top of Harcourt Street. Great crack !

Theatre followed by a casino night. Alternatively a speed boat ride around portmarnock (I think that's where it was - it was a few years ago and I was very busy holding on tight!!)
followed by a BBQ although it may be a bit late in the year for this...

Where can you do the casino night?? do you need to go to somewhere like the Merrion??

There are also a number of different groups that will have a casino night in a pub for you or whatever however I've had mixed reports of these guys and I'm not a fan myself.

I was at one of these once, it was utter crap.

Ukiyo karaoke bar and restaurant on exchequer st.....such a laugh, 10-15 people per booth with singha beer just a phone call away.....

If it's sponsored (by a company or S&S Club) you could do the treasure hunt and give drink vouchers for 2 or 3 pubs on the route, incorporate clues for each of the pubs, this adds to the entertainment, finish off in some pub that would serve a bit of food and provide music.
