how much is it to prepare a site? We are thinking of getting one of these houses that are made in the factory and just transported to site in 5 or 6 bits.
 
You need to give us a bit more detail. Do you just want to clear the site and entrance of topsoil, etc, or do you want to have foundations and slabs in ready for the pods to sit on? Is the site level, boggy, rocky? Its a bit like 'how long is a piece of string' without some more detail!
 
I want to clear the site of topsoil and have foundations and slabs in ready for the pods to sit on. The house will be small. 800 square foot bungalow. The site is level and dry. I presume any piping underground would have to be done before the house arrives?

Never did a base for that system, but a house of that size would cost c. E15000 for the base using standard foundations, rising walls, radon barrier, fill, insulation, and a floor slab. If the pods are already insulated then you could knock up to 2g off that again.
