Hi everyone ... newbie here, so please be kind and patient :)

Just got married at the start of the month and am wondering which is the best way to go for us both from here on in ... whether we should stay as is - separate treatment - or whether we should go for separate assessment or joint assessment. Which would be most beneficial financially, and why?

If it helps - I earned approx 46,000 last year, and she earned about the same. We've got a dependant child, mortgage, etc.

Hope someone can help
