sick leave and holiday entitlements?

Hi,
I'm a public servant with a permanent position and regretably have been out sick for the last year due to a bad car crash . I am hoping to return to work in the next month or so. However my query is regarding holiday entitlements and whether I am entitled to take annual holiday leave which would have been due to me before returning to work. Am I entitled to this before resuming my position?
