Shower Cutting Out

The shower in our main bathroom cuts out while being used. It works again after some time. It's a Triton T80 and is at least 14 years old.

Any ideas anybody?

Time for a new shower. It has done you a good term of service. Could be a few things wrong with it. It's at the end of it's life and not worth fixing.

Thanks a lot, Davy. I was hoping you'd spot my post and reply. I figured that the game was up alright! It's about 11 inches high by about 9 inches wide. Are they still available in that shape? I'll have a problem matching tiles if not.......... :(

The new model T80 should fit without too much adjustment. here's what it looks like.

If you decide to get another type of shower connections may be different and this will have to be added to installation cost. A stairght swop should cost around €60 plus VAT.

I have a Triton T80si both upstairs and downstairs (10 years old) and have a similar but slightly different issue with BOTH showers to OP.

The showers never cut out during a shower but actually about 20 seconds after turning the shower off everyday. Luckily we have a second shower downstairs but the exact same thing happens to this shower. This means that a third person has to wait about 4 hours before the power comes back before being able to shower.

Note: Neither shower is ever on at the same time or even powered on at the same time.

Lex, Asumming you shower each day I don't think it owes you anything.

Time to let her go me thinks :)

Hi Niallers. I posted that last August. She's gone!!! I had to replace it with a new Triton. And the smell has finally gone also!

I now smell as good as Purple and his Lidl anti perspirant!!! :D
