Hi all,
Is anybody familiar with shower cords? The box that is connected to the ceiling has a cord which has broken. We thought that it was just a case of opening the box and re-attaching the cord but when we opened it, it seems far more complicated! Do I need an electrician to replace the whole thing? Thanks for any help!

mine went during the cold snap and had to get electricianin to fix it, it had been therte for 20 years so i guess it served me well.

Mine went too last year --just got a new one in Woodies ; lots of wires and screws but I got there myself

This is a common problem with cheap pull chord switches. Go into any electrical retailer and buy a good one. Techanically you should use an electrician to fit these however if your fairly competitent then you should do the job successfully yourself.

Enjoy.
