Should I keep my prepay gas meter?

I recently bought a house that has a prepay gas meter installed. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether I'm better off replacing it with a regular meter?

I spoke to Airtricity a couple of months ago and they said it would cost around €280 (i think) for the new meter. I'm guessing I'm not getting a great deal at the moment by getting my electricity from Airtricity and prepay gas from Bord Gais. Am I better off taking the hit now so I can bundle my energy bills together?

What rates are you paying with the pre-pay meter? Compare these to the best rates on the market and with your expected usage, you'll get an idea of what the pay-back period might be.

Alternatively, another supplier might be prepared to discount the cost of a new meter to gain your business.
