Not sure if this is the correct forum but here goes
My wife has share options in a us multinational where she works and she wants to sell them even though she could hold them for another few years. The difference between the option and the sale price is approx $15 per share.
What tax will she have to pay here to the revenue?

If it's an Revenue Approved Scheme where the shares are held for 3 years or something like that, then I think it's just CGT on the difference between purchase and sale price ( less the 1270 exemption).

OP stated options not shares. APSS is different. Guidance I gave was for an unapproved share option.

OP: Please provide more details.
