I am a first time poster and would welcome advice on the following
problem
I have lost my job for the second time in four years this job lasted for
2 years I have a small remaining balance on a personal loan which I had
taken out in 2006 with Blue Clube Loans and are now owned by First
Citizen Finance after losing my job the first time I restructured this
loan with inceasing the monthly amount until I now owe €1900 and I
have offered them €500 settlement from my holiday pay they have
refused this and have said I must pay 17 payments of €127 per month
which I cannot afford as I am getting jobseekers allowance and cannot
see myself getting further employment this is very stressful and do not
know what to do

I suggest that you write to the lender, explaining that

- you have recently become unemployed,

- your financial circumstances are difficult at the moment,

- your income is less than it was.

Tell them that you are going to pay them €xxx per week from now on and that this is the most that you can pay.

You cannot expect them to be happy about this, and they may make threats but I think that they will not actually do anything.

Presumably your income is weekly so I suggest paying weekly, can you afford €10, I think that is realistic.

And there is no need to worry about this, there is no reason to be stressed here.
