hi,

Can anyone tell me who I can go to about setting up a text message service?
 
I think you will need to be a little bit more specific in your question. Most likely you will need some kind of implementation company to provide you with a sms gateway to allow you to send messages, perhaps have a look at www.clickatell.com who wholesale some services.

I believe you can buy or lease a 'short code' off eircom then you can advertise it, and also your service in a newspaper etc
