setting up a Private Members club

Hi Folks,

Does anyone know how to go about setting up a Private Members club for, say, a dozen night time events a year on a premises that already has a day time licence for the sale of food.

Any special rules/considerations/costs/obstacles, etc.

Any solicitors who deal with this kind of thing?

I am not exactly clear about what you are trying to do.

It strikes me that a 'licence' could be given by the owner - with care taken as to how its drafted as it seems this would not be a lease.
 
The objective is to hold evening music related events with booze is consumed.
10 or 12 a year in a cafe that is does not have a wine and booze licence - yet.
I only mentioned the food bit to indicate that the place already complies with certain health and safety standards.
The club bit will relate to the evening events only.
Want to be able to do this and keep it legal.

Do you anything about this?
