Setting up a bank account for a voluntary group...

I've been volunteering with a fairly new Dublin animal rescue for the last few months, all volunteer members.
We've been using PayPal and cash donations to date but for transparency, a bank account would be better. Going to visit some banks later today but am wondering what hurdles there are to getting an account in the rescue's name?
We are working towards a charity number but the process is dragging on and receiving donations by cheque or offers of funds transfer is problematic. Obviously wouldn't use our personal accounts for this purpose.

The first thing you'll need, if you don't already have one, is a constitution and a set of elected officers based on the specifications in the constitution. Draft or template constitutions for clubs voluntary groups are readily available on the net for free.
