Seperation and mortgage payments

quick scenario, would appreciate some advice thanks.

Couple seperates, wife is paying all bills and mortgage on the house. If she moves out with the children and notifies the bank that she is no longer paying the mortgage as she is no longer resident in the house (which is held in joint names), what is the situation? Is she still liable for the payments?

Yes. She is one of two people responsible for the repayments.

Assuming that the mortgage is in joint names then she is also responsible for payments.
