My brother and I bought a modest house in Northern Ireland, 15 years ago as a holiday home, which did not work out. For the past 18 months, we had to rent as there was a lot of antisocial behaviour leaving it empty. We want to sell in the Spring. We had tried to sell 18 months previously and things were stagnant with Brexit.
If/When we sell can we leave the money in the North in a current account or do we have to move it back here. Will the Revenue be suspicious of the money coming from the North. Obviously we want to do the right thing.
