Guys,

Need some advice please......

Will be selling my Mrs Cashman's June 1999 Opel Astra next week & I need some advice as to what is the real value.

The details are as follows
June 1999
40,500 Miles (yes correct as it was/is a second car)
1.4 litre engine
Has just had the timing belt & water pump done
Has had new tyres & exhaust replaced within the last 12 months
NCT 05/07
Tax 02/06

I am being advised anything from 4.5K to 6.5K

Any Comments

Many thanks
Cashman

Re: Selling '99 Astra

Have a look at www.carzone.ie and

This should give an idea of what people are selling at.

Look at private sellers , as dealers would be a bit higher.

Hi Candyman,

No sale yet.....!!

Have put it on ebay & on boards but not advertised it anywhere else yet.

Will look at a couple of other websites next week.

Thanks for your interest!

try buy and sell online aswell.
also everything.ie could be worth a look...

dont bother with autotrader and cbg.ie...used them once before, paid 40 bills and posted the cheapest guide price compared to any similiar models at the time and not one call! rubbish!

According to the Revenue web site the car should be worth about €4153. I assumed a few details but check out this link – very handy to get approximate book values of all types of cars – good ammo. when dealing with garages when changing your car.

cheers BB

just goes to show this VRT website is very useful 4 when garages or people selling cars try to say, 'well thats the price they are selling for'

will most certainly b printing this off and using it as im buying a 2nd hand car in nxt few weeks, might save a few quid.

has any1 any experience of gettin some1 to reduce the price significantly due to info such as VRT site??

handy for calculating importing a car from uk too. I assume thats the purpose of this site? cheers BB2.
