Sell Nat West Shares

Quick question with hopefully a short answer! I have about 5k worth of old Ulster/RBS now Nat West shares and I want to get rid of them, they are with Computershare but they can't sell them for someone in Ireland. Which broker is the quickest/easiest/cheapest for this one off thing, I'm not buying more of anything ever again :confused:
 
I sold mine recently with Davys and they were really good to deal with. I rang them and they told me to set up an account with them online with ID &V then complete a form, drop in the paper share certificates to them (or send register post) and they will engage computer share to transfer them over to your davy account which takes a few days. Then sell them online on your Davy account and give Davy your bank account to transfer share funds to .they will deduct a small fee. You said this is you are not buying anymore so then close the Davy online account or you will be charged ongoing fees.
 
Wanda, I am in same boat. My 6000 worth crashed and are worth about 750 now, I want to sell, called Davys and they said I have to set up account with €50 quarterly fee, they advised it will cost €98.40 to lodge the shares to them and then there will be a commission for selling. Like Monbretia I am never planning to deal in shares again so €150 plus seems a bit steep on a tiny value of shares. Did you have all these charges too?
 
Do their registrar, Computershare, offer any share dealing services to Irish small shareholders?

Mine are now gone thankfully after a lot of palaver, to be honest I didn't look at the fees/costs as it would only irritate, a necessary evil to get rid of them!

Once the shares were transferred from Computershare I immediately sold them and once funds were in I transferred straight away to my bank then emailed Davy to close ac, I got back an email saying account was marked zero fees as closure notice noted so I assume it's now closed. There is nothing there anyway to take any more fees from as I transferred out the whole balance which was after selling costs.

Never again want to see a share! Looking forward now to getting proceeds of BoI few shares, should get 380ish, paid 5k
