I'm hoping someone can help here, I used to be self employed but have in the last year moved to a pernament job, however i look to be still getting taxed at emergency rate.

Is there a certain steps or tax form which i can fill out which basically gets me moved over and off the emergency rate of tax.

I would really appreciate any assistance with this

thanks

Fill out a Form 12A and submit to the Revenue - or just ring them and advise them you are working - they should issue a Tax Credit Certificate

Maybe I am looking at this a bit too simply, you know your tax credits for the year, you are paying your own tax liability - you take yourself off emergency tax!!

..you are paying your own tax liability..
They've switched over to full time PAYE employment so no longer handle the tax liability themselves, it being deducted at payroll instead.

A quick call to Revenue should clear it up, applying for a Cert. of Tax Free Allowance (Form 12) sounds like the route to go (whether you do it in hardcopy [form 12] or make the application by phone/e-mail).
