I got an email from them yesterday with updated business terms.
I read all 47 pages and it all seems standard, but tough reading for a non-expert.
Am i missing anything?
Does anybody have a laymans terms description of what the changes are?

HI M&M,

I read the updated T&Cs too, and it seemed innocuous.

However today received an email stating that they're bringing in a £25 quarterly inactivity charge and increasing the charge for a share order to £20.

I am trying to follow an ETF buy and hold strategy.
This will make Saxo quite expensive so I'll be moving ASAP.

The question is where to?
From preliminary research tonight (mainly using monevator.com/compare-uk-cheapest-online-brokers)

The front runners were:
Sippdeal
Hargreaves Lansdown
iWeb
X-O.co.uk
Beaufort Share Dealing.com
Halifax Share Dealing
The Motley Fool
Best Invest

I need to go through these one by one but so far my conclusions:

Sippdeal - Accept UK residents only
Hargreaves Lansdown - difficult to sign up online without a UK address. Will need to contact them by phone/email
Halifax & The Motley Fool use the same trading system, you must be UK resident to make an account with either
Beaufort Share Dealing - Can only trade UK indexed stocks
Charles Stanley Direct - UK residents only
X-O.co.uk - UK residents only

Update 03/10/13.
Looks like I may have to setle for TD Direct!

Any suggestions are welcome!
