Saving Childrens Allowance for college fees

Where do people put children's allowance IF you can manage to save ?
The Childcare plus with an post sum matures each year and would like to deposit yearly in high interest account to provide for college ? Haven't found suitable account
children are 5 and 8..

If you have a standard variable mortgage, you could overpay this. Can't beat a tax free return of 4%.

My aim is to have mortgage paid off by college time and then can use the money would have used for mortgage to help with fees etc.
 
I look forward to paying school fees and college fees...they'll be a lot less than creche/childminder/nanny fees!

An post is good but messy system
Is it better put directly in account each month?
