Santry location info

Hi all,
I'm looking at buying a property on Shanard Avenue in Santry. I'm not overly familiar with the area and what it might be like to live there. Anyone any thoughts? House is a good size, decent garden, good orientation etc. I'm just not sure on the surrounding area, in particular proximity to Ballymun. It seemed lovely when I went for a viewing.

If you Google anti-social behaviour and you use Facebook you may be able to get some info here. Sorry but I'm not familiar with Santry but it does appear to mention Northwood along with Santry.

I know the area a bit, but never lived there, and it always seemed fine to me.

Approaching 4th generation of family in the area and not a bad experience amongst them, great community spirit. I also had lads from the area in my classes in primary and secondary school, the best as students, friends and sportsmen.

Near DCU so that will have pros and cons... handy for attending, or Helix events but at times traffic can be bad.
