The RTB granted an eviction order, but on appeal only from the lower tribunal. The report is here
It is a litany of horrors - rent arrears, damage to the property, anti-social behaviour, rubbish dumped, loud music being played, neighbours threatened, garda cars parked outside the property, serious threats made to the landlord and his family.
The landlord lost in the lower tribunal after all that and may only have one in the higher one because the tenants didn't turn up to give evidence.
No fines or sanctions for the tenants of course. They have been ordered to pay the arrears and pay for the damages, but that isn't worth the paper it is written on.
What a business to be in.
