It seems like this this (mind numbingly boring) show just runs and runs.

My question is this: In all its years, has an episode of "this week" ever been made which did not include a long boring tedious piece on Northern Ireland politics?

It's just RTE's way of justifying their large office in Belfast, even though feck all is going on up there for the last few years.....

5-7 live, 9 and 6 o'clock news also have news from the latest impasse in Northern politics as often as is possible.
Most of the english media have closed down their northern bureaus in recent years.......

..and I figure that someone in RTE does a quota at the end of the week and if its not met they lash it into GB's "This week show" Does any one know the listnership of this show?

A voice for radio??

What I want to know is how someone with a voice like Gerald Barry can get a job on the radio in the first place. He makes Matt Cooper sound easy on the ears!
