Are distribution s from a ROTH IRA taxable in Ireland?
And a ROTH IRA is?
The answer depends on a lot of things - is the recipient living in Ireland? what is their tax-resident status? where are they domicilied? where are the distributions received? what tax credits can they avail of? what double-taxation treaties are involved?
It's a form of US pension account. In the US, contributions to a ROTH IRA don't qualify for any tax relief, but the retirement proceeds are tax-free. Certain limits, terms and conditions apply.
