ROS Debit Instruction with Preliminary Tax Already Paid

I have an RDI set up to pay my income tax. This year I paid in September using my debit card over a number of days as this suited me better. Am I right in assuming that Revenue's system will pick this up and not try to process the RDI or should I amend the instruction just to be safe?
