Roof repairs

As a result of the recent inclement weather, a few leaks in the roof have made themseleves known. House is c100 years old, I do not want to re-roof but just repair - I suspect flashing in one leak and a loose slate in another.

Any good / bad experiences out there? One problem I will have is height - it is a 3 story house so will scaffolding be required evben for a relatively minor repair?

You could hire a cherry picker, combined with a good roof ladder would make for a safer job, but I wouldn't be trying out roof repairs at 3 stories unless I had the necessary confidence at that height.
