Right of Way: Am I allowed park a car in the gate when the neightbour is not using it

I'm looking at a property that has a right of way through its back yard ( a gate ). I understand the basics of the law but is it specific in terms of the rights of the person using the right, I mean am I allowed to park a car in the gate when the neightbour is not using it or should the gate be kept clear all the time. Anyone got experience of this one?

Usually it should be kept clear at all times. But it is possible for a right of way to be very specific so you should look at the wording if it is written. Otherwise take legal advice.
