Revolut Loan APR

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has experience with getting loan approval for a personal loan with Revolut?
I was approved for a loan much higher APR than the 5.8% originally quoted (7.7%), and would like to know why.
I've a very good salary, though I've husband and and 2 kids as dependents, and a very good credit rating with no debt and a low mortgage.
Are Revolut figuring out how much I'll pay? I'm wondering if putting credit union savings into my AIB account which is linked and used to assess income would make a difference, any thoughts? Has anyone had a similar experience? Do I have a right to know their criteria if I ask?

I was initially approved for a higher APR like you. I was disappointed so waited a few months and reapplied and got the lower rate. I honestly don't think much changed in the interim.

Oh interesting, thanks for that. I was wondering if I put 2K or 3K into my AIB account from the credit union would it approve it, I might try again, though I can't wait a few months!
