Revolut and currency exchange

I bought Canadian dollars in May and June before travelling to Canada in June. I didnt pay any fees as didnt go over the monthly allowance for exchange.

Am now back from my trip with a few hundred Canadian dollar left in my Revolut account. Tried to exchange it back to Euro today (being in a new month) but they were charging fees, I thought the monthly limit was €1,000.

Can anyone explain why I am being charged fees? I am very new to using Revolut!

Maybe it's not yet a new "rolling month", whatever that is? I presume that it's defined somewhere in some terms and conditions...

Your fair usage limit resets once per rolling month.

thanks for that, I looked at T&Cs and tapped on my profile and looked at my plan and saw my reset date is 26 July!

Just send the dollars to a friend, get them to convert it with their free allowance and then send it back to you?
'currency laundering' I guess you could call it.
