Reverting to PAYE

I currently rent out an apartment which is sale agreed. I fill out the form 11 Self Assessment each year. When the apartment is sold I'll be reverting to PAYE. Can anyone advise on how I go about reverting back to PAYE? I know I'll have a tax liability for 2016 up to the date of closure which will be due in 2017. Should I wait until I pay my 2016 tax liability before notifying Revenue or should I tell them when the sale is closed?
 
Why not make a return in 2017 for 2016 and inform Revenue that you do not have non-PAYE income at that time?
 
you won't be able to de-register for income tax self-assessment until after you have made your 2016 return but you can do that as early as January 2017.
