Revenue debts

I have a small business that is insolvent and want to close it. The main creditor is the Revenue. We owe them around €15,000.
The company has no assets, so I've been told most liquidators will not want to take it on, and it will cost quite a bit of money that we don't have. Because of this we are considering involuntary strike off. If we take this route should we inform the Revenue we are no longer trading and will the directors be personally liable for the Revenue debt? I know there will be consequences of doing it this way but we have no desire to be directors or run our own business ever again.

Was it a limited Company. If so, As far as Im aware, you have protection unless you as being directors behaved wreck less in any way.
If Sole traders, it's not so easy to walk away.

I'm sure you had an accountant during the course of the business,
I would be inclined to pay for this advice, as you don't get a second chance with this issue.

Yes it is a limited company. I have an appointment with my accountant tomorrow. Thanks for the reply.
