Returning - getting tax set up

Hi folks,

I’ll be returning to Ireland on 15 July after a long stint abroad and will starting work on the 16th (at the same company)

It looks like I cannot get any letter from the revenue (confirming PPSN, also to be used as proof of adress) until I’m back in the country so I can’t get a tax cert or open a bank account to get paid in July. Is there any way around this, seems I need to be resident before I can organise any of this stuff yet my employer is looking for bank account and PPSN details to be provided before I actually get back.

I can probably track down by PPSN number on some old paperwork and give that to my employer but I was also hoping to use the letter as proof of address for opening a back account. I won't be back at that address until July so do I need to wait till then before I can do anything, not sure how I will get paid in July without an Irish bank account.

Anyone been through this?
