Sister worked in Ireland years ago before being employed in UK. She is now returning to work and has an Irish PPS number. What forms does she need to fill in to avoid going on Emergency tax please? Anything else she needs to remember to do?
As long as she has worked in the country before, she should not have to complete a form 12a, these are only for a first employment in Ireland. She will have to call the appropriate tax office and explain that she has been working in the UK for the last number of years and she should have no problem getting a cumulative tax cert issued when she gets work.
Not sure but she may also want to contact SW to see if she needs to do anything to get PRSI credits in respect of any UK National/Social Insurance payments that she made while working there.
