Returning a phone to the UK

Anyone for a suggestion on how to get a phone returned to the UK (Amazon marketplace purchase).
An Post told me they wont ship a phone.
DPD & Fastway website wont allow me to generate shipping to the UK.

Amazon need to come up with a solution for you or give you a refund. Contact Amazon.

I posted a phone to Poland recently via UPS with no issues.
 
With Amazon you print a label and attach it to the package to be returned. How will An Post know what's in it?
 
Had this problem recently. Couriers won't take them either, because of the battery. Just stuck it in the post without registering it in the end, and it arrived safely.
 
I registered my phone return correctly with UPS with no issue. I had to put a battery warning label on the package.
 
DHL are going to ship it for me, €37 to get it to London, when the refund process should start!
