Retirement villages

Has anyone any thoughts on investing in retirement villages.

I have an apartment in Dublin city that has probably gone up in value as much as it is can and am wondering whether it might be timely to sell the apt and invest in retirement villages.

If anyone has any thoughts or links to any websites about such villages, I would be delighted to hear them.

I'd suggest you seperate the two decisions. If it's time to sell the apartment, sell the apartment and stick the money on deposit. Then work out what you want to do with the money. I've no information or expertise on the retirement village investment options, I'm afraid.

I'm open to correction but to my knowledge investing in a retirement village is more like buying shares in a company than buying a property since if the company that runs the village goes bust the value of your investment will be hit hard.
