There is a great Mexican restaurant near Queen's Square (main bus station); sorry can't remember the name; there are a lot of restaurants of different cuisines in the same area if Mexcian is not something you fancy
Heard good things about the Thai Pan from locals but didnt get a chance to try it yet. Have been to [broken link removed] and the Pizza's and salads are top quality. Service is very good too.
The only other place I have eaten around this is the Pizza/Italian place in front of Jurys Inn and the Echo arena - was grand and would have no problem recommending. Gusto would be "classier" though.
