The Residential Premises Relief for landlords introduced in 2024 and to last until 2027 indicates that Relief will be clawed back if Premises is not kept on the rental scenario until 2027.
I am currently in the process of selling one of my rented properties in order to move from a big landlord to a small one and also due to the severity of the rules etc.
This property has been vacant since January 2026 but I have other property rented throughout this period.
Currently prepping paperwork for accountant and am wondering will I be expected to pay back the last 3 years credits or can they be offset against remaining rental properties.
Those who have partially left the market in the past 2 years how did you fare out
